413.  What are the demeritorious dhamma?

When at a certain time a demeritorious thought arises, accompanied by distress and associated with ill-will, having as its object  any sense object, such as a visible object, a sound, an odour, a taste, a tangible object, a mind-object,  

- then at that time there arises:


The pentad of sense-contact (phassa-pancaka)
contact (phassa)
sensation (vedana)
perception (sanna)
volition (cetana)
thought (citta)
Factors of absorption (jhananga)
initial application of mind (vitakka)
sustained application of mind (vicara)
misery (dukkha)
one-pointedness of mind (cittass'ekaggata)
Faculties (indriya)
faculty of endeavour (viriyindriya)
faculty of concentration (samadhindriya)
faculty of mind
(manindriya)
faculty of mental distress (domanassindriya)
faculty of vitality (jivitindriya)
Path factors (magganga)
wrong thinking (miccha-sankappa)
wrong effort (miccha-vayama)
wrong concentration (miccha-samadhi)
Powers (bala)
power of endeavour (viriya-bala)
power of concentration (samadhi-bala)
power of not being ashamed (to do evil) (ahiri-bala)
